Dumbbells and Mrs. Buttersworth

 

 

The Japanese made dumbbell floats were created with a bowl mold, free blown, and were hand shaped. They were Jim Watson's absolute favorite float shape. He knew of five to six dumbbells in the world, of which he owned three.

 

With immense fondness, Jim named the amber dumbbell, Mrs. Buttersworth. It was beach combed only a few miles from where he eventually made his home on the Oregon Coast.
